Timnath Breaks Ground on Broadband Project with Pulse
Pulse and the Town of Timnath celebrated a groundbreaking for the highly anticipated broadband infrastructure project on September 24, 2024. It’s a significant milestone that marks the beginning of a multi-year initiative to bring fiber internet to Timnath residents and businesses.
Timnath Mayor Robert Axmacher, Pulse Broadband Manager Brieana Reed-Harmel, and Timnath Public Works Director Justin Stone spoke at the event. Each highlighted the long-term benefits of the Timnath/Pulse partnership and stressed how critical high-speed internet is for Timnath’s future growth and success.
“This project is about more than just internet access,” said Timnath Town Manager Aaron Adams. “It’s an investment in our future, ensuring that we have the infrastructure in place to support economic growth, attract new residents and businesses, and improve quality of life for everyone in Timnath.”
Pulse was selected to provide broadband services by the Town of Timnath following a thorough feasibility study and Letter of Intent process. Pulse’s locally focused, community-driven model was a key factor in their decision.
The groundbreaking was attended by contractors and subcontractors working on the project, including Ditesco, Colorado Boring, OnTrac, and Backbone Fiber. With a deep understanding of local subsurface conditions and a proven history with City construction projects, these contractors are well-positioned to execute the work efficiently and with minimal disruption to the community.
“Pulse was founded to meet the growing demand for quality internet in Northern Colorado,” said Reed-Harmel. “We’re thrilled to bring our services to Timnath, helping the community thrive with reliable, high-speed connections that are essential for business, education, and everyday life.”
Planning on the fiber network for Timnath began earlier this year, focusing on design, pre-construction, and permitting efforts. Network construction, including service installation and testing, has recently begun. The first phase of construction is expected to take between six to nine months.
Pulse will deliver a comprehensive suite of telecommunications services to Timnath, including Internet, WiFi, Voice Services, and PulseTV. Get the latest Timnath news and sign up for updates at PulseFiber.org/Timnath!
