Pulse Activates First Business Customer in Timnath: Dean Contracting Comes Online
FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
April 28, 2025
Timnath, Colo. – Having previously been announced as the Town of Timnath’s official broadband service provider, Pulse Fiber Internet, a community-owned utility, has reached an exciting milestone: the activation of its first customer in Timnath, Dean Contracting. This development marks the beginning of a new era of connectivity for Timnath, as construction progresses and Pulse’s high-speed fiber-optic network continues to expand across the town.
“We’re incredibly proud to welcome Dean Contracting as the first business in Timnath to go live on the Pulse network,” said Brieana Reed-Harmel, Pulse Broadband Manager. “It’s a powerful step forward that represents not just progress in our construction efforts, but a shared vision for how strong internet infrastructure supports local economic vitality. Dean Contracting is helping us set the pace for what’s to come.”
Dean Contracting, a well-established firm serving the region’s construction needs, was eager to make the switch to a local, high-performance internet provider. “Fast, reliable internet isn’t a luxury—it’s a necessity for everything we do,” said Lisa Dean, owner of Dean Contracting. “From file sharing to jobsite coordination, having Pulse as our internet partner gives us confidence and speed we can count on. We’re excited to be the first business online in Timnath, and we’re looking forward to seeing others join us soon.”
The activation is part of the broader rollout announced in August 2023, when Pulse and the Town of Timnath entered into an Intergovernmental Agreement (IGA) to bring municipal broadband to the community. That agreement included a revenue-sharing component and outlined a multi-year construction and implementation plan, with the Town committing up to $20 million in Capital Improvement Funds.
“The excitement of announcing the Timnath and Pulse partnership is now matched by the reality of progress on the ground,” said Robert Axmacher, Mayor of Timnath. “Connecting our first local business demonstrates that our investment is delivering value, and that Timnath is well on its way to being one of the best-connected towns in Colorado.”
Pulse’s network construction began in late 2024 and continues in phases, with estimated timelines of 6 to 9 months from construction kick-off to service activation in any given phase.
